So, I bent the rules a little bit in giving this five stars...but it is not the place you go for a special occasion. I will say for me, going there to eat IS a special occasion. It is in a shopping center with Kona Mountain Coffee on Hulikoa Drive, north of Costco. Decor is basic, functional, but not a "romantic ambiance" kind of place.

What they serve is a wide variety of food from cheeseburgers, to katsu chicken, to salads, to bento boxes. Aside from the extensive menu, they are willing to make changes and modifications. Everything I have had there has been fantastic. Quality food, fresh, and lots of it.

Here's a tip to save you some money. All "plates" are available as pull or mini. I've ordered both ways and I sear there is no difference in the size of the main entree. The mini plate saves you $4 and you get one scoop of rice instead of two, and one mac salad instead of two. If there's two of you and you can agree on an entree, order the full plate and the extra sides makes it big enough to share. If you can't agree, and my wife seldom does, order two minis, each of which is filling enough for one.

I have gotten stuck on their reuben sandwich. I am a reuben fanatic and I was pleasantly surprised to find theirs one of the very best I have EVER had. It comes with fries and your choice of salad. The meat is thickly sliced and you can clearly see it is cut from an actual chunk of corned beef, not some processed stuff. Comes hot, with the cheese oozing out the sides.
