My friend and I decided to try the new owners at Kona Country Club's great location which overlooks Keauhou Bay from restaurant and full bar. We were first arrivals for lunch and seated promptly.
Our server was polite, friendly and helpful. She appeared to be the only one as the restaurant soon had all tables occupied, but she didn't appear rushed.
My friend ordered chicken quesadilla appetizer ($10) which was large and looked good. She was asked, when served, if she wanted to add avocado. She did, but it took a long time to get. She said her quesadilla was not very good.
I ordered garlic chicken ($12) which came with rice and broccoli. My food looked appealing and was tasty but the chicken was overcooked.
I ordered a glass of house cabernet ($8); it was served refrigerated. I asked it be replaced with a glass that was not and was told, "All our wines are refrigerated, only the wines in storage are not!" I exchanged it for a glass of chardonnay.
