I've been going to Sakura regularly since they opened quite a few years ago. They're open for lunch and dinner and are located next to Safeway. There is no view, however, the restaurant is well air conditioned and is always a cool place on hot Kona days and nights to enjoy a meal. If you are looking for Sushi and Japanese cuisine this spot is a good choice. Prices are very reasonable. The food is fresh and delicious, and they do a booming business with the locals. I've never had a bad meal there. I'm addicted to the Christmas Tree Roll. Service is great and the staff are always efficient and pleasant. They serve sake, beer and wine, too. The owner's opened another Sakura in Hilo (close to Ken's and Banyan Drive) but I haven't been to that one yet.
