Frenchman's Cafe (Kailua-Kona) * * *   Posted by on Monday, 26 February 2018, at 1:46 p.m.

We had been meaning to eat at Frenchman's Cafe on Alii Drive for a while, but the last time we tried, they were closed for repairs. We were in town for errands a few days ago and decided to give it another try.

WOW - I'm so glad we did. Crepes and galettes on the menu - all in-house made with fresh wonderful ingredients. They have vegan, vegetarian AND gluten-free options, as well as things for the meat-eaters. I had a veggie crepe and my partner had the smoked salmon.

Both were served with side salad of greens and quinoa, with a lovely house-made vinaigrette on the side. The staff is friendly and efficient.

This is now our second go-to place for breakfast (Bongo Ben's for huevo rancheros is on my list, too).

To top it off, I took home an almond croissant for later on!
