Original Thai (Kailua-Kona) * * * *   Posted by on Thursday, 9 November 2017, at 3:15 p.m.

Original Thai has the best Tom Kha soup (coconut milk, lemongrass, ginger, mushrooms and vegetables) we've ever tasted. You must try it to believe it! You can add chicken, shrimp, tofu/veggies or seafood to it, if you wish. Get a cup or a bowl (serves 3 or 4). You will not be disappointed. We tend to order items mild here and ask for the hot chili sauce on the side. The Cashew Chicken is also extemely good. The Drunken Noodles and Phad Thai are recommended as well, and there are some tasty appetizers offered too. There is an extensive menu at this family run restaurant. BYOB. Located at the back of Ilima Court, on the corner of Kuakini and Palani Rd, near the Firestone store. Take Out phone: (808) 329-3459. (Add 5% for Take Out.) Open for Lunch from 11am-3pm; Dinner from 5-9pm. Closed Mondays.
