Signal Reports - Q1 to Q5
Ham Radio signal reports (Q1 through Q5) are a short-hand way of discribing:

    "How well you understand another station's voice transmission."

As a way to make your reports more meaningful to others,
consider using these guidelines when making a report.

To discuss Signal Strength, we us S-Units, not Q1 to Q5.
Q1Audio barely heard or not heard at all. No words actually understood.
Q2Occasional words or phrases distinguishable.
Unable to understand what was being communicated.
Q3Understood the topic but not every sentence was heard.
Q4All sentences are understood, but extra concentration was required.
Q5Understand every word effortlessly.
