Kaiser cataract surgery

As a Kaiser member for 24 years I just can’t imagine going anywhere else. I have had both eyes done, one at a time. As recently as three weeks ago my wife had both eyes done at once, saving us an additional trip. It worked out great. We flew the morning of the surgery and were out of the clinic, the Moanalua Medical Center by mid afternoon. Since it is near the airport Kaiser put us up in the Honolulu Airport Hotel, an older but very clean and comfortable accommodation. Surgeon was Dr. Hu, whom we would recommend highly. As someone else mentioned, this is all these guys do so they are very skilled at it and not dependent on volume to pay their salary. And the staff is terrific. Kaiser paid for everything except parking at the Kona airport and the little food we needed. Elapsed time was less than 48 hours.
It will require a pre-op trip and interview to the Kaiser Honolulu clinic in advance.
And like us, you will likely be pleased with the “new eyes “
