I beg to differ with the statement that dolphins don't want to hang out with humans. I did a swim with dolphins on a trip in the Caribbean. If they didn't want to be bothered, they swam away. I had one hang out with me all the while I was there. He/she swam along side me close enough to touch. Stayed with me and did everything I did. We looked at each other, splashed each other and played together like two children. I really think the dolphin had as much fun as I did. He/she seemed a little sad when I had to get out of the water. The rules on some of the other islands were different than they are in the U.S. I don't know if they have changed. No one will ever convince me that that dolphin was not enjoying the interaction.
