Earthquake just now

6.1 earthquake off the coast of South Point at 11:48, 10.1 miles deep, about 15 miles off the coast from Naalehu, near the Loihi Seamount (active underwater volcano off the coast of Kau). First there was a pre-shock; I thought "ho hum". But then the main shock shook my house here in Kailua-Kona for a looooong time. Then there was immediately a 4.1 aftershock 20.5 miles deep and 13 miles off the coast from Naalehu.

Mahalo, Harry
