We canceled a trip, too

Konabob and I canceled a trip to the mainland in September, as well. Governor Ige's emphatic request to halt non-essential travel was the clincher for us. When the numbers started dramatically spiking on the Big Island - into three digits - we started wondering how relaxing a "vacation" would really be at this time. We felt a huge sense of relief when we decided not to go. Of course we are disappointed, but we think there will be a safer time to travel when more people realize the necessity of vaccinations and wearing masks.
