Abandoned Vehicle

As I understand it, the County will tow an abandoned vehicle from public areas. If there is an abandoned vehicle left on private land, it is up to the land owner to have it towed. (I am sure that the previous owner, if found, will claim it was stolen years ago).

So, if the land owner needs to have it towed, has anyone successfully had AAA tow it somewhere else under their free tow included in the subscription?

I hear that there is a $350 fee if a regular tow truck has to come and my neighbor doesn't want to have to pay that.
