If you enjoy Indian food, you can see the (take-out online) menu for Kamana Kitchen, (same name for their website, no spaces.) Has outdoor seating on the lanai with an ocean view. It's located upstairs and around the back where you see the stuffed bench clown - in the heart of downtown Kailua-Kona across from the Farmer market, (which makes parking challenging.)
The food is yummy, not overcooked as many Indian restaurants can do. There are many vegetarian dishes. Plus, where else on the island can you get lamb?) They will temper the spiciness level quality for you too.
I enjoy more the in-house eating at Kamana Kitchen as opposed to the take-out menu. I find all the different little Indian food dishes to make it a special treat beyond "spending money" for what I could cook for myself at home. Indian food has these little bits of condiments that make the meal special. These multiple treats are not included with their take-out menu. Kamana says they're too much trouble to package separately.
