Update on airport arrival
In response to 144603: Mandatory Covid testing at Kona airport, posted by Harry A2 on Tuesday, 8 December 2020, at 2:32 p.m.
We came through on Monday - super easy! Alaska Airlines is now offering to pre-clear passengers who have a negative test at the departure point which saves a LOT of time. The entire plane was tested with a nasal swab when we disembarked but it was very efficient. Almost no waiting. You had to fill out a short form with your address and phone number, a tech swabbed both sides of your nose (5 seconds each and not up too far) and you were advised if you didn’t get a call in 30-60 minutes, that you were free and clear. No call for us, so no quarantine either. Very efficient, very easy.
