Alii Drive COVID free zone?

In response to 144527: 51 new cases on Big Island ?, posted by Harry A2 on Sunday, 25 October 2020, at 7:27 p.m.

I think it may be too early to blame the reopening of the island to mainland tourist as the cause BUT I was down on Alii drive last night trying to enjoy a birthday dinner with my wife and could not believe the throngs of tourist roaming around like the good old days with no masks. Then go into any restaurant and it’s packed with tourist and locals spending their $500 Restaurant debit card with the belief that COVID doesn’t exist while you are eating. So the point off my rant is if there were 50+ Big Island cases in one day now, just think about what is in store for us in the future. I feel for the poor restaurant workers that have to put themselves in front of the maskless hordes to make a buck. My birthday is next week and we will be BBQing at home.
