In response to 144425: Living at elevation in Kona, posted by Marci D on Wednesday, 9 September 2020, at 2:09 p.m.

There's a location and elevation to suit anyone, but not everyone. :D

We're at 950 ft in South Kona, with an 180 degree unobstructed view of the ocean. It never gets too chilly or too warm. Temp ranges from 68 in the coldest of winter to 85 in the hottest of summer. No mold or algae problems, and humidity is typically in the upper 50% to mid 60% range. Been here 16 years, and for us, it's perfect. The frogs are not so irritating here, and often can't be heard at all.

Prior to buying out house here, we lived in an Alii Drive condo for a few years. It was fun enough at the time, but I'm sure glad I moved out!! It's SO HOT there, when it's balmy and not sweat-inducing here.

Your elevation would be too chilly and wet for us, and the frogs intolerable.

Looks like we both found our "Goldie Locks Zone". To each their own. Enjoy, and be happy to live Hawaii!
