In response to 144423: west coast community not frequently affected by VOG?, posted by Alex Z on Wednesday, 9 September 2020, at 7:42 a.m.

I live in the upper Palisades above the airport at about 1600 ft elevation. While it is cooler up here (which is nice), it is also MUCH wetter than it is even a mile down the hill. It rains almost daily in the afternoons and can be quite humid. Mold and algae are an issue. So are coqui frogs. But there's still no place I'd rather be!
