In response to 144390: Driver license renewal, posted by Jolene J on Tuesday, 25 August 2020, at 8:22 a.m.

My driver's license comes due in a couple weeks too but it's in California, Los Angeles. Also it's that time when I need a re-test. I've been in Kona for 6 months since the virus outbreak and I really do not want to fly at this time. So I was researching at my local DMV site in LA and as far as I can tell it does say that I have an automatic extension for up to one year. That's in print, I didn't even have to make a phone call or fill out a request with personal info. I assume that's for all of California, & it makes perfect sense right now. I'm very grateful to not have to fly on a perhaps crowded plane.
