Keauhou Farmers Market
The beautiful Keauhou Farmers Market re-opened today in the parking lot at Keauhou Shopping Center. More than half of the regular vendors were there, with a moderate crowd of happy shoppers. Everyone was masked and distancing politely. The hours are 8 a.m. - noon, and the prices are terrific.
I came home with a big basket of fresh lilikoi, broccoli, papaya, lettuce, avo, lemons, tomatoes, lilikoi jam and ono sourdough bread. I also ran into quite a few friends at this gathering place that's been meeting here for almost 15 years.
The online market's pickup site has moved to this same location and there were many, many bags of food laid out to be picked up. Next Saturday morning, please support our local farmers -- you'll have a sweet experience, and come home with the best food around. Aloha!
