No active cases? NOT!

No "active" cases? Isn't a "new" case an active case? Here's the article from the Saturday Civil Beat; one new case on the Big Island, one on Oahu.

How many people did this sick person come in contact with before he or she realized he/she was sick? And who did he/she come in contact with to get infected?? It's out there and that's a fact. Why is this virus worth shutting down the island for, and not the flu? I guess it's the fact that this virus leads to more serious pneumonia and death than the regular flu. 60,000 people die from the flu in 12 months; the USA is up to 90,000 deaths now from covid in just three months.

Some people are saying "it's like a war". Except I didn't sign up to be a soldier in this war and sacrifice my life for no great cause what-so-ever. And there are no weapons to fight this unseen enemy. Yet there are those who want to re-institute the "draft"; they want us to get out there and sacrifice our lives "for the greater good". I call bullsh*t.

Personally, I don't need to be ordered to stay at home or wear a mask in public. I'm going to do it anyway, whether there's an order or not, until I get vaccinated. Sounds like next year sometime. Does it suck? Yes it does. But it beats being dead!

Mahalo, Harry
