Guard told us tonight about new fine for walking
We hadn't seen the news about this (and we read the news now more than we used to). But were told by security guard tonight while taking a stroll through Kona Village, that there is now a $5,000 fine for strolling in Hawaii.
We researched at home. WIRED site has the list of states.
In Hawaii it became effective today the 25th. Okay for some things like swimming but meandering about like I like to do, for fresh air and exercise - can get 1 year in jail or $5,000 fine. Okay if out to buy something, or swim or surf.
