In response to 143717: Saddle Road, posted by Frances R on Saturday, 28 December 2019, at 12:03 p.m.

Aloha, we were driving the Saddle back from Hilo at dusk (i.e., driving into the setting sun), the day after the stoplight and parking barricades were removed.
A protester ran across the highway about 100 feet in front of our car, starting from directly under a 60 MPH speed limit sign. She was looking back at someone behind her, and laughing. We were driving at about 30 MPH anyway, but it was pretty stunning and more than a little frightening. So please be careful.
