More on Consumer Cellular
In response to 143450: Consumer Cellular service/coverage, posted by Mark K on Friday, 16 August 2019, at 5:18 p.m.
Consumer Cellular uses AT&T towers - but I speculate that the recent addition of Verizon to AT&T isn't included in the Consumer Cellular usage because of a recent test situation. (Unfortunately.)
The only drawback, (which I haven't yet really checked out, because perhaps this discouragement was from their old advertising) is Consumer Cellular seems to be designed for people who don't use piles of data. But it does automatically add you to the next level of data so you don't pay penalties for overuse.
If you know someone who uses the service, you can get an extra $10. and they will get an extra ten buck credit on their bill also in addition to the signup specials they're advertising right now - (a free month at any rate of data use for a few more days in August.) All you need is someone's name and phone number.
