Melekalikimaka & Hauoli Maka Hiki Hou!!
I am totally off the grid since there are no poles to my house. I started with 8 75 watt pansls back in 1992, added 10 150's after about 5 years, then 4 175's over time; and most recently, 12 250's made in Korea that Inter Island Solar had on sale. I have a Schneider 6,800 watt, 48 volt inverter. When I got the new inverter I swapped out 16 L-16 batteries with 6 Simpliphi lithium batteries from Inter Island Solar. L-16's last 6 to 7 years, the Simpliphis should last about 20. So over the 20 year period I should save about $5,000. Plus, I don't have to add water to 16 batteries every two weeks!! YAY! I have a new, licensed, electrician named Nate Corsen, nate.liuelectric(at sign)gmai.com (808) 854-5335, whom I would recommend for any solar installation.
