KONAWEB is resource for useful visitor information

We have never tried to be a tourism promoter for this island above all else, as we think that our reputation as a source for non-biased info is our greatest service to the public. (Believe me, there are people on the island who think we should only represent the "good things" about the island on our site.) This is our home, and no amount of vog, fire ants, coqui frogs, etc. will make us move. We love it here. But I cannot, in good conscience, say that people should come here at this time without knowing the possibilities of high vog consequences. The news media is sensationalizing the effects of the lava eruptions on the island (and the whole island chain!) but there are other factors that our island is having to contend with due to the eruption.
