Looking forward to a tasty Italian dinner but were very disappointed. My wife and I shared the beet and bean salad for $13. Serving was small and really nothing special-only a few measly beets and string beans, mostly romaine. STRIKE ONE!
Their homemade foccachia bread served prior to the meal was sweet and soft-too much like white bread. STRIKE TWO!
I ordered the beef papperadelle ($26). Just average in taste and flavor--not too crazy about the snow peas and bok choy that it contained. My wife ordered the Rigatoni without the sausage, but with extra Hamakua mushrooms ($17). There were only 3 small slices of mushrooms mixed in with all the pasta and sauce which tasted processed, not fresh. We complained to the waiter about the lack of mushrooms. He said he would go back to the kitchen and ask the chef for additional mushrooms. The chef refused!!! STRIKE THREE!! You"re out!
Although the seating outdoors was very pleasant and the waiter was very sympathetic and attentive, we will not return even though we are locals and enjoy Italian food.
