A friend and I had a delicious lunch with excellent service at the Kona Canoe Club in the Kona Inn Shopping Center on Alii Dr. in the village. They open at 11, we were there at 11:30. The menu is extensive - with a full bar. We treated ourselves to blended margaritas, shared a half order of onion rings; our entrees were a cheeseburger with mac salad, and 3 fish tacos with black beans and rice. Server was friendly and attentive, food prepared quickly. Prices are typical of the location - on the water! With the drinks, onion rings, entrees and tip, worked out to be $25 each. We absolutely felt we got more than our money's worth and we ate the whole thing. Next time I'd like to try to make a meal out of some of the pupus, and I think they have some pupu special prices during happy hour but I'm never there that time of day. We parked in Uncle Billy's back lot, driveway across from the public parking next to the library at the open market. Usually find parking there but it was choke full. I have 6 or so favorite go-to places and Kona Canoe Club is one of them. They have a web site so you can look over the menu.
