Jameson's by The Sea, on Alii Dr. (Kailua-Kona) * * * *   Posted by on Saturday, 31 October 2009, at 8:10 a.m.

Four of us enjoyed lunch at Jameson's on Friday. We reserved a "rail" table so could overlook Magic Sands and the big surf. Two had the crab-shrimp grilled sandwich, one had the calimari sandwich and I had my favorite, a reuben sandwich. Fries or salads come with the sandwiches. Think prices ranged from $12-15 for sandwiches. We enjoyed their speciality ice tea, too. Service was excellent, I go there often for lunch and always see the same staff, most of whom have been there a long time. Bill was $80 for the 4 of us, including a 20% tip. Sometimes we have the fabulous chiffon pie for dessert, but didn't yesterday. Sometimes a mai-tai, too. I think they are $8, which is a little expensive but a nice touch to a celebratory luncheon. There were only a few other customers. And parking lot was relatively empty. This is one of my favorite places for lunch. It will probably become busy again during snowbird season.
