I have reviewed Luke's in Hawi before, but had lunch there recently and had to comment on their french fries. For $3.95 you get a large basket of fries that are some of the best anywhere if you like the thin, crispy kind, which we do. I always resolve not to eat them all, but it's a struggle. We were both happy with our sandwiches, a BLT and a nice piece of ahi with an aioli sauce, both on ciabatta rolls,which were accompanied with a choice of sides.We had the green salad, and it was fresh and ample. Luke's is just off the main road through Hawi, if you take the tun toward Waimea over the mountain. |
