Short N Sweet is located in Hawi on the main street (Akoni Pule Hwy), just past Bamboo Restaurant. This is a MUST STOP restaurant. Whether you want a sandwich or just a treat (or both), this is the place! I had a BLT w/Avocado on foccacia. Lightly grilled, and all of the ingredients were fresh and tasty. There was plenty of bacon, tomato and avocado, and crisp lettuce. Nothing skimpy. Now on to the awesome bakery items....First, the selection is outstanding. There must be at least 20 different items to choose from. Yesterday, we split a german chocolate bar and a lilikoi bar. The german chocolate bar was devine! Rich, chewy, fudge bottom with a layer of creamy coconut topping. WOW! The lilikoi bar was a layer of buttery, crumbly shortbread with a thick layer of tangy likikoi on top. The sandwich and 2 desserts were just over $14. Cash only! They also make wedding and special occasion cakes. Check out their website... www.shortnsweet.biz for pictures. Absolutely beautiful! |
