Pete and I ate at Roadhouse Cafe across the street from Oshima's Store today. We remembered reading a review but forgot most of it and just wandered in. With all the bakery in the cases, it was hard to concentrate on the menu. I had the Thai Chicken and Pete had the Turkey. Beautiful fresh bread, overflowing mac salad cups and packed sandwiches with fresh ingredients. I opted for the Kona Honu Bar, shortbread crust with caramel, chocolate and mac nut topping. Pete had his favorite carrot cake. The total, with soda's was less than a twenty and I brought home the bar cookie for supper. Next time I hope to report on the Key Lime Cheesecake. |
