Aloha Friday's (Keauhou) * * * *   Posted by on Saturday, 30 May 2009, at 9:17 p.m.

Keauhou's best kept secret has to be Aloha Friday's at the Kona Coast resort. It's a little hard to find. The condo/time share complex is kitty-corner from the Keauhou Shopping Center on the Alii Drive side. You drive through the gates, bear right following the signs to the office, walk through the area near the activities desk, and you will find it at poolside. The catch of the day at $18.95 is the best dinner deal in town for fresh fish. It comes with a large salad (don't miss the house-made blue cheese dressing), garlic mashed potatoes( fresh daily) or rice, and a fresh vegetable along with a portion of fish so big I couldn't finish it. Today was locally caught fresh ono. You can byob, which makes it even more reasonable. The full-dinner menu includes pasta and steak as well as fish. You can also order off the lunch menu with fish and chips, burgers, large salads, etc. This was our third visit, and it beats Drysdale's for setting, food, and price any day.
