Can't believe we finally have good pizza in Kona! A bistro sort of place, just mauka from Costco. So far I've tasted every pizza on the menu and, except for the Kaloko Loco (I've never gotten used to pineapple on pizza-shudder!) they're all good. The pepperoni is cut into little strips all over the the surface of the pizza, so that there's lots of pepperoni in every bite. They have a meatball sandwich to die for. The salads are h-u-g-e and fresh, and the service is quick - you can get your order in five minutes! Lunch is about $11 including drink and tip. The ambiance is casual and local, and the staff is helpful and friendly, and there's always someone there I know. It's a great place to hang with the buds. The major downside is that the desserts are meager. I keep wishing for some real Italian ice - a great dessert to spoon on top of a bellyful of pizza. Dessert or not, don't miss it! |
