BI Helicopter

Great pick for your honeymoon destination and congratulations. Since you will only be here for 3 days, the best way to get a feel for the varying ecosystems of the BI is a helicopter tour. We have used Blue Hawaiian quite frequently and have always been delighted with the service. I would recommend their Big Island Spectacular tour if your budget stretches to that. If not, fly over the volcano for sure (their circle of fire tour). You can check them out at http://www.bluehawaiian.com/bigisland/tours/. You didn't say it, but I presume you will be renting a car. Fly into Kona from Honolulu - they have many car rental options available right at the airport. You will hear plenty of recommendations for places to visit from other forum members. A lot depends on your personal tastes. Try visiting "101 Things To Do on the BI" to see what might appeal to you. 3 days is not long - We have visited the BI about a dozen times now and are still finding new things to do each trip. The only "absolute must-do", in my opinion, is a full day trip to the volcano.
