Living on The Big Island can be stressful if people are disrupted from their routines. When the SO2 is up where I have to breath, I find I need to rest after exposure.
I can't imagine the stress being evacuated from your home to watch everything go up in flames.
Back in 1985 I mountainbik(ed) around the island and really fell in love with Kalapana, only to see it disappeared under 50 feet of new lava.
I never got to Kapoho to snorkel, perhaps if the lava lets up, the mile of new island left in its place of the bay may crumble.
This forum has given me answers to the issues that arrive. I really appreciate when members have helped me. Just if people can be patient with each other during this unique period of time.
