I wish I had the bandwidth for Roku to be an option, but from what I've heard and seen, bufferless HDTV requires way more mbps than I have at maximum. Where I live, it's sat TV or nothing. No cable comes here and no fiber, which would allow Hawaiian Telcom's TV service, landline phone, and really, really fast internet.
As it is, I get local channels and some other stuff via Dish Network.
I get Netflix and other things not even broadcast here via bittorrent piracy behind a logless VPN (arrrggg!!). I'm probably the greatest consumer of UK and Aussie TV in all of Hawaii. And it's all free! Can't beat that cost. I collect entertainment media, too. At this time, 27 TB of movies, entire TV shows, music and e-books.
