In response to 141498: VOG and long term living in Kona, posted by Tommy L on Saturday, 2 December 2017, at 11:18 a.m.

Aloha! I can't always tell when it's voggy by looking, but I can tell when my voice starts getting squeaky and other people get squeaky. Then I look up the vog report to see if I'm right!

So my reactions to vog are, my voice gets squeaky and throat gets tight; I get really, really tired in my body and get sore muscles, and I get sleepy and yawn a lot; and once in a while it triggers a migraine.

It doesn't happen very often!
