Water Wells Disaster in Kona
In response to 141345: Ironman, posted by Mark S2 on Wednesday, 20 September 2017, at 7:00 p.m.
They need to postpone or move Ironman--for DWS to say 30K more people here in Kona won't affect our water is silly and/or a lie.
I cannot believe that with the Emergency Proclamation by our Mayor (even though it was five months late) that DWS cannot figure out how to get equipment and engineers with experience and knowledge to come to our island and fix the damn wells.
To have the private wells in Kohala taking precedence over all the broken wells in Kona is wrong. There needs to be more than one contractor with proper equipment for our island.
Import someone from Europe, Asia or the mainland with the proper equipment, experience and trained staff. Yes this will cost money but water is desperately needed here in Kona1 They need to stop waiting to get around to fixing our water disaster
