In response to 141306: Truth about taking rocks, posted by Kevin Z on Saturday, 9 September 2017, at 3:44 a.m.

What a wonderful answer! It makes so much sense. I live on the island so not taking stones from the island. I heard from someone that there was a $500 fine (?) for taking them from Queen K highway. ??? Really? I see people taking rock from Waikoloa Road....but those are not BLACK lava...they are more brown. Maybe I need to check the highway department.... if there is one LOL
