Today reminds me
Waking each day fairly fills me with wonder. Nature barrages my senses. The sunshine on my brow showers me in wellbeing. Dostoevsky opined, "it is bad manners to live past 60." Indeed. Nevertheless, I look forward each night to the new tomorrow filled with wonder and nature barraging my senses.
Today reminds me I was the one in high school who was called upon year after year to recite "I am an American and I speak for freedom." Such innocents were we, taught that America stood first and foremost for the premise that all men [and women] are created equal, and that each and all are entitled to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."
