In response to 140836: Activities with 13 yr. old granddaughter, posted by Phil E on Tuesday, 11 April 2017, at 5:43 p.m.
As many have said each child is different. My kids when we moved over and most of the visiting children we have had about that age really had no interest in much of what their parents wanted to see, they just wanted to go to the beach and do water stuff (even the ones from Southern California).
My experience would say to do a lot of beach (swim, snorkel), maybe a surf lesson -at- Kahaluu.
Swimming with dolphins -at- the Hilton is about 15 minutes actually in the water with them and lots of training, be sure it is worth it, may sound cooler than it is.
See the turtles at the harbor beach and pass on Black Sands.
Akaka Falls is interesting for a few minutes, decide if it is worth the trip.
Three Ring Ranch right in town is cool if she likes animals, very different experience from mainland zoos.
Fairwind or that kind of boat trip, with slides and snorkeling and food is alot of fun.
And go to the beach!
Δ Akaka Falls a wreck ?
