In response to 140836: Activities with 13 yr. old granddaughter, posted by Phil E on Tuesday, 11 April 2017, at 5:43 p.m.
I concur that this is a LOT to do. Even in the (maybe) ten days of your vacation. Still, I would put in a recommendation for Pu'uhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park (also called Place of Refuge).
Everybody's family is different, and every child is different. That said, if my parents had taken us to Hawaii, we would have been seeing a lot of different historical and cultural things, so that is the direction my expectations run for vacations. You, of course, know your grandchild and have to plan accordingly. :-)
