In response to 140758: Kekaha Kai, posted by Ellen M on Saturday, 18 March 2017, at 8:30 a.m.

I drove my 4WD Toyota pickup down the Makalawena road. My wife and her friend walked and got there half an hour before me. I knocked the mirror off the passenger side on a tree branch. There's this one place you have to go over that's a V about 4 feet deep. You have to keep the wheels on the outer edges. I'll never do it again. I prefer the slow ramble down the Kekaha Kia (Mahaiula's) road and then the 15/20 minute walk over to Makalawena. It's actually quicker.

Mahalo, Harry
