HELCO lines and trees
I bought property and decades ago HELCO ran power lines (without a recorded easement) across the middle of my property to provide service to a large area above me. A tree which was small at the time is beginning to grow up into the power lines.
On the mainland, where I live now, keeping tree limbs clear of company power lines is the responsibility of the power company. In Hawaii, am I responsible for keep those limbs out of the lines? Should a storm cause those branches to damage the power lines, am I responsible? How does this differ from trees on private property which grow out into the common roadways and threaten those lines?
Δ Doubt it is your problem.
