Rough air--or calm air??
In response to 140595: Rough air, posted by Timothy M on Sunday, 19 February 2017, at 8:34 a.m.
Or maybe some calm air -- i.e. "consistent" probably means not changing much. One reason that Mauna Kea is a good place for telescopes is because there is far less turbulence over the gently sloping hillsides of Mauna Kea than over other, more craggy mountains. I learned that from Doug Simons of Canada France Hawaii Telescope.
