Stay Away From Condos

Personally, I would stay far away from condos. The big problem with condos is you are also buying the competence and financial stability of the association and by extension all the other owners of the association. Not to mention condo dues, special assessments, and all the rules and regulations the associations come up with. For retirees, I would be looking at South and East Hawaii where housing is much more affordable. Moreover, Kona has become much too busy and crowded over the years. If you don't have to be close to a job why endure it.
